Diflucan is a type of antibiotic which is used to treat fungal infections. While

diflucan

it is often used in the treatment of Candida, it is also used for many other fungal infections that affect the body. Diflucan is also used for prevention of a yeast infection for those with a weak immune system.

Diflucan offers fast relief from some of the severe symptoms of Candida, in particular skin rashes and vaginal thrush. If these problems have gotten to be too much for you, then Diflucan is a good option. Diflucan will decrease the amount of fungal growth in your system, but it will not restore the balance of good and bad bacteria in your immune system.

Diflucan is best used in conjunction with other Candida treatments.  Diflucan is available in capsule, liquid and powder forms. Your doctor will be able to advise you on which kind and amount of Diflucan is best suited to you.

Diflucan and Yeast Infections

A yeast infection or vaginal thrush can often be treated with just one dose. While this may not cure your Candida, it will certainly provide short term relief from its symptoms. For the long term treatment of Candida, you may wish to try a good probiotic.

Because Diflucan is an antifungal antibiotic, it is important that you finish the course of the medication as prescribed by your doctor. Taking any more or any less could harm your recovery.

Diflucan Side Effects

You should never use Diflucan without first seeking the advise of your doctor. Diflucan will not treat other types of infections or viruses such as the cold of flu. Many people do have an allergic reaction to Diflucan, if you have had any type of reaction to antibiotics before then it is possible that you will have a reaction to Diflucan. If you notice puffiness of the face, arms, or throat then you should seek medical assistance urgently. If you suffer from kidney disease, liver disease, or a heart problem then Diflucan may not be for you.

Unfortunately there are many possible side effects caused by Diflucan including nausea, jaundice, stomach pain, diarrhea, skin bruising, rash and seizures. These are the more serious side effects and are not common occurrences. Less serious symptoms include a dizzy light headed feeling and a strange taste in the mouth.
