If you have candida and have been thinking about trying the candida diet, you may feel discouraged at first.  Because the candida diet severely restricts the intake of wheat, yeast, wheat-free-foods-insertsugar and some of your other favorite ingredients, you may feel that you’ll never be able to stick to the plan.  No bread, no cookies, no pancakes…What else is left?   There’s good news, though.  There is actually a wealth of foods you can use to replace many of the forbidden items.  There aren’t your run of the mill health foods that are missing delicious factor but they are  foods that actually make your mouth water.  One excellent source for wheat, yeast, and gluten free foods perfect for the candida diet is Pamela’s Products.

Pamela’s Products

Pamela’s Products is a company that specializes in providing high quality foods that contain no wheat, no gluten, and no yeast.  The company was founded in 1988 by  the granddaughter of a couple who ran The Golden Crescent, a bakery for people with special dietary needs.  After tasting  the dry, flavorless foods available at that time, Pamela decided she could do better - and she did!  Pamela’s Products provide a variety of delicious, award-winning wheat free, yeast free and gluten free options. You can choose from a variety of mixes to use at home or select scrumptious pre-made tasty treats  like cheesecakes, cookies and biscottis.

Pamela’s Products are available at many natural food stores and can also be found in several mainstream groceries such as Kroger, Winn Dixie, Safeway, Fred Meyer and Publix.  If you cannot find the product locally, there are several online retailers that offer Pamela’s Products as well.

Here’s a look at some of our very favorite Pamela’s Products.

Pamela’s Ultimate Baking and Pancake Mix

This baking mix is not only delicious but is also  incredibly versatile.   You can use it to make waffles, pancakes, muffins, cookies, cakes, breads and other yummy baked goods, plus it’s a great substitute for flour in most recipes.  Baked goods come out so light and fluffy most people will never guess they weren’t made with  traditional ingredients.  You’ll find some great recipes to try printed right on the bag.

Pamela’s Products Incredible Chocolate Chunk Cookies Mix

Got a sweet tooth?  Here’s a great solution.  The Incredible Chocolate Chunk Cookies Mix makes it easy to whip up a batch of moist, tasty cookies with chunks of sweet, melt in your mouth chocolate.  Mmmm - just thinking about these cookies will make your mouth water.  The kids will love them and never even suspect that they are wheat and gluten free.  It can be your secret.

Pamela’s Wheat Free, Gluten Free Ultra Chocolate Brownie Mix

This mix lets you indulge in delicious wheat free, gluten free brownies that are so good  everyone will be asking for seconds.  This brownine mix bakes up rich and moist.  There’s even a frosting mix available if you like your brownies even more decadent.  It makes a great cake and other desserts, too.
