ibs2Every year thousands of people are diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome. Both are conditions where the ibs2digestive system is impaired because of poor health, be it from a poor diet or a decreased immune system.

The symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and Candida are quite similar. Both include problems with gas and bowel movements, stomach upset and nausea. One can often be confused with the other.

If you think you may be suffering from Candida, you should try a test either with a doctor or yourself at home. You can read more about candida tests in this earlier post.

The Symptoms Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is characterized by abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation. IBS may be caused by medical factors, such as an infection, life factors like a stressful situation or for no reason at all. There is no cure for IBS, only treatment to minimize the symptoms. IBS is treated in many different ways, with prescription medication, natural remedies and even psychological treatment in some instances.

There is no long term risk to your health from IBS, other than the discomfort to yourself from the symptoms. Still, if you think you could be suffering from this illness you should seek medical advice. The treatments that are available could make a huge improvement to your quality of life.

IBS, or irritable bowel syndrome, is often diagnosed when other Gastric diseases are ruled out. For instance, if a patient is complaining of problems with bowel movements and flatulence and there are no obstructions in the digestive system such as an ulcer, then irritable bowel syndrome would be diagnosed.

The problem here is that many people that are suffering from Candida are misdiagnosed with IBS. They treatments that they try are ineffective and they do not improve.

The Intestinal Candida and Irritable Bowel Syndrome Link

While many Doctors maintain that there is no connections between Candida and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, countless patients who have successfully treated their Candida have noticed a sharp decline in the symptoms or irritable bowel syndrome.

If you think that you are suffering from Candida, an improved diet and use of a good probiotic can do wonders to ease the symptoms.
