Oral Thrush
Oral thrush is a yeast infection located in the mouth and/or throat. They symptoms of oral thrush are creamy white curd-like patches on the tongue, cheek or other parts of the mouth and/or cracking at the corner of the lips. If you attempt to scrape the patches off, minor bleeding will occur. If the thrush advances into the esophagus, swallowing may be extremely painful. Infants, people who wear dentures and people with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to oral thrush.
Deep Candidiasis (Candida Sepsis)
When candida fungi get into the bloodstream and travel through the body, severe infections can occur. Candida occurs most frequently in people who are already suffering from serious illness, such as those with AIDS/HIV or who are being treated for cancer. It can cause shock, fever and/or multiple organ failures. This is candida at its very worst but, fortunately, it does not usually get this bad for the majority of people.
This is not a complete list of symptoms but it does give you an idea of what to watch for if you suspect you could be suffering from candida. You are certainly not alone. Candida is reaching epidemic proportions and it is beleived it will affect a large portion of the population, with many people suffering from some form of the condition at least once in their lives.
